Thick Titanium Bolt Action Pen

This pen is easy to hold with very little hand fatigue from a pen that is too thin. Of course, the action is perfectly fidgety, and the included Schmidt refill in the short length is a beautifully smooth writer. The combination results in a very capable, comfortable, and handsome pen.

This is my first pen by Tactile Turn and it most certainly will not be my last. I doubt I'll ever destroy this thing, and it feels marvelous in the hand. Writing feels smooth with the provided ink but I may need to dabble in refills. Because dabbling is fun. I now have an excuse to leave everyone notes at work...

The chunky titanium feels premium with great grip thanks to the milled case. The pilot g2 mini refil is perfect in every way. Smooth, doesn’t smudge much and for a small cartridge lasts so long. UPS didn’t do a great job with the delivery but that’s not tactiles fault. I love this pen and look forward to using it for years. If I could offer one small observation, I think it would be good to provide a couple of bands and a spring as spares like some of the competitors do. I’ll be back for more soon tactile!!

Great pen. For me, the weight of this pen is a plus--I prefer it to my much lighter Ultem and Tecaform Thick Bolts, which are excellent in their own right. If you use gel/rollerball refills, you won't have to apply any pressure to the paper with this pen, it writes of its own weight without being fatiguing. I was a little concerned that the Standard would be too back-weighted with the bolt mechanism, but the balance is actually quite nice. About the only thing I can imagine ever topping the Thick Titanium Bolt would be a Thick Titanium Side Click . . . (please?)
