We were approached by our friends at Concast back in August with a simple request: "We want to see how a pen made of C510 bronze develops patina." Their theory was that the copper content in this alloy would cause it to patina with a little more character than our standard C630. Since we never shy away from new materials, we asked them to send a small batch of bar over and we would get to work. At first glance, the color has a reddish hue like a mix between our standard copper and bronze offerings and a silky smooth action.

    Impressive Pen

    This pen means business with the nice heft and commanding feel, with the classic TT texture keeping it solidly positioned in my hand. I knew it would be heavier than my titanium pens, and while a bit heavier than I expected, no issue in adjusting to the added weight. LOVE the reddish/copper color--now just waiting for some patina to develop!

    Incredible

    Full size, bolt action, bronze pen with titanium damascus bolt. Amazed at how tight the tolerances are on the pen. Zero complaints. If you use it for extended periods of time, you will get a greenish residue that develops where your skin contacts (normal). My co-worker liked it so much he ordered one of his own today! (After another co-worked tried showing off his Bastion.. he liked my Tactile Turn much better, appreciated the weight/dimensions, loved the Pilot G2 refill as well)

    It's perfect!

    I gave this to my SO to replace the brass one they lost during a tornado last year. They like the finish, the weight, and even the ink is better than the old one.

    It was a great birthday present!
